PostLesson helps coaches turn a post-lesson voice note into a written progress report and email it to a student or their parent. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Coach account information. When you sign up we collect your email address, name, and business name so we can run your account and brand your reports.

Lesson content. The voice notes you record, the transcripts produced from them, and the progress reports generated from those transcripts.

Student and recipient details. Information you enter about your students (such as a name) and the parent email addresses you choose to send reports to.

Usage data. Basic, privacy-friendly analytics about how the site and app are used, to help us improve the product.

How we use your information

We use it to provide the service — transcribing your voice notes, generating reports, delivering report emails to the parents you choose, maintaining your account, and improving PostLesson. We do not sell your information or use it for third-party advertising.

Service providers

To run the service we share data with a small set of processors who act on our behalf: a transcription provider (to convert voice notes to text), an AI provider (to draft reports from transcripts), an email provider (to deliver reports and account emails), and our hosting, authentication, and storage provider. These providers process data only to deliver their part of the service.

Children's information

Lessons often involve children. PostLesson is a tool for coaches, and coaches are responsible for having the appropriate permission from a parent or guardian before recording lessons, storing a student’s information, or sending reports about a minor. We do not knowingly let children create their own accounts. If you believe a child’s information has been shared with us improperly, contact us and we will remove it.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your content for as long as your account is active so you can access your report history. You can delete reports and student records from within the app, and you can ask us to delete your account and associated data by contacting us.

Security

Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with a reputable cloud provider. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard safeguards.

Your rights and contact

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. For any privacy question or request, email us at support@postlesson.app.
